Goodyear, Dunlop and Fulda tyres performed exceptionally well again this year, according to the 2009 summer tyres test results published by ADAC, the German automobile association. ADAC's rating are just in time for the busy spring selling season when drivers switch from winter to summer tyres. Since consumers trust the ADAC comparisons more than any other, these results are especially important.
Here are the highlights:
Fulda, which competes in the highly competitive middle price range, achieved a sensational first-place ranking with its Carat Progresso in the popular 14-inch size -- 185/60R14. This result placed the Fulda tyre in front of numerous premium-segment competitors. The tyre's marks speak for themselves. On a scale from 1 for excellent to 6 for failed, the Carat Progresso scored a 2.0 for driving performance on dry roads and a 1.8 for wet performance.
