To promote the quality of its winter tyres, Fulda sponsors the Yukon Quest, organized in the Yukon territory in Northern Canada. The Yukon Quest is considered the hardest dog sled race in the world.

Launch of FuldaNet, a private network of weather stations in Germany
Together with famous German weather forecast representative Joerg Kachelmann, Fulda sets up a network of local weather stations. Based on the daily data from more than 400 local weather stations, Joerg Kachelmann presents the daily weather forecast on the main German television channel ARD.
