Have a look at more than 100 years of Fulda - German High Technology

The new Fulda truck tyre, with its middle groove and concave niches, offeres a kind of cushion able to absorbe impacts from road obstacles. This new design allows the tyre to operate at a maximum speed of 40km/h, which is much faster than the usual 15 km/h allowance with standard full rubber truck tyres. The innovative concept is patented and other tyre companies such as Continental (Hanover), Dunlop (Hanau) and Polack (Waltershausen) start to produce tyres with the same technology under licence agreement.

The Fulda Parabel tyre is a full rubber tyre, which contains an air chamber inside the tyre. This air chamber is fixed on the steel bed of the tyre. The Parabel is the first 'constant pressure' truck tyre in the world.

The Fulda Elastic tyre is the first pneumatic tyre (tyre with air). In the first year almost 1000 units of the new tyre are produced. In the follwing years the production is gradually switched from full rubber tyres to pneumatic tyres.

1927 to 1928 become the great years of the Fulda bicycle tyre sales. The Fulda bicycle tyres get the reputation of 'Best Product' in their home market Germany.
